i’ve been so race conscious lately. it’s really unnerving. sometimes I go thru life forgetting i’m black (especially since moving to the west coast) but it never lasts long and is only ever skin deep (literally lol). sometimes i get this look from white and non black people that is this look of…idk disgust lmao? confusion? like people wonder why I’m here (I was at work..??) am I just paranoid? I really do notice it quite often. some have said it’s because i’m pretty and while that’s flattering I highly doubt it.
